Finca Santa Marta is nestled in the lush highlands of Mataquescuintla, Guatemala, at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,200 meters above sea level. Protected under the shade of Grevillea and native highland trees, our Arabica coffee plants thrive in an environment of care, dedication, and sustainability.
For David Rodriguez Sr., coffee is more than a livelihood—it’s a way of life. Inspired by his father, Don Laureano Rodriguez, David grew up immersed in the traditions of natural and sustainable coffee farming. His dream of owning a coffee farm became a reality through decades of dedication alongside his wife, Doña Lily. What began as 15 hectares has grown into a flourishing 100-hectare farm, producing exceptional coffee despite the challenges of high-altitude cultivation.
Today, with the support of their children—Katherine, David, and Sabrina—three generations of the Rodriguez family carry forward the legacy of excellence. Their commitment extends beyond the farm, as they actively give back to the community by creating jobs, ensuring fair treatment, and fostering sustainable practices.
Driven by a vision of community care, the family hosts an annual dental day, offering free dental cleanings to 100 children, and founded the non-profit organization Papa-Moms. Named after a cherished nickname from their granddaughter Scarlett, Papa-Moms is dedicated to supporting the well-being of local children through social initiatives.
Finca Santa Marta is more than a coffee farm—it’s a story of passion, perseverance, and the power of family. Thank you for being part of our journey.
